PIP - Cost Of Living Payment

Hi Everyone, I just spoke to PIP to update my number and asked them if i was eligible now for a cost of living payment of £150 and they said no. I didnt get a payment until August obviously because my claim took a while but i was eligible for PIP from April. Does this mean i wont get the £150 like he said on the phone. I have read online that it says later to be eligible for a payment before may but he says i still wont be.

That's not correct. You must have received a payment (or later receive a payment) of one of the qualifying benefits for 25 May 2022 to get the payment.Just so that you're aware, it's not PIP that are making the payments, it's the Government so it's very likely that the call centre wouldn't really know what the criteria is.Full details here. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-payment#disability-cost-of-living-paymentUpdated guidance today says payment will be made from 20th September. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/6-million-disabled-people-to-get-cost-of-living-payment-from-20-september-2022

There's been many many threads asking the same thing and no one here has received anything yet. To be honest, i've not heard of anyone that has received it yet.

@poppy123456 ok thanks it just confusing know what I mean if anyone receive they never on here say I got it I got it.. lol ok problem is they say..... Getting PIP payment in May right... Everyone on here didn't received payment when we all was waiting for Claim to be successful that why we all got full payment from before May to August or now... That is different and confuse for some of us as we waited for claim... That why we asking if we getting or not if some PIP claimant has a carer that get carer allowance they won't get the £150 so it all confuse anyway.. lol sorry for long etc you always give good advice that why we like you..😋😋0

I know it's difficult but try and think about something else. There's nothing anyone can do at the moment anyway and it's only the 2nd day into the payment period. It took about a week for my daughter to receive the £326 back in July.

@Scottyrko so your RKO fan 😃😃 me to love him anyway we still haven't got it yet they did say from 20th some get it and most of us probably have to wait until beginning of October... That what I read some where online.... Those that actually got paid 25th May they get it as those who still waiting to hear PIP decision on 25th May would get it in while so have to wait.. that it safe bro fk it when they say we get it that mean we getting it chill that it lollll... I'm nervous too but have to calm... Safe.. relax..😀😀 Hope RKO come back hehe...0
