hello hello everyone. I’m not new here but I’ve had to go threw all the same motions as last time  regarding pip. Refusal then having a tribunal today. I feel it went totally wrong. I struggled to explain myself properly. I only see this will go against me . I am worried now. Though I got awarded the basic for the daily living amount on my last tribunal I have got worse but I am now so worried I will not be awarded anything at all. It’s all so stressful

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't feel your tribunal went very well @oceanblue68. Could a loved one be with you this afternoon?

Did you get any expert support to help you with your tribunal?

    Good morning @oceanblue68

Good luck with the hearing today. I know you've been to tribunal before but just have these things in the back of your mind and try to stay calm ! Easier said than done I know !
    Do
    • ask the judge or doctor to repeat any questions you don’t understand
    •  tell the panel if someone has helped you on the day, eg helping you to dress, driving you to the hearing or reading signs for you
    •  take notes covering everything you want to say - you can refer to these during the hearing to make sure you’ve covered everything.  the judge should come back to you at the end to make sure you’ve covered everything
    Don't
    • be afraid to correct anything that isn’t right, eg if the judge says “you have no difficulty walking 50 metres, do you?”, make it clear if they’re wrong
    •  feel you have to use medical or legal language - just be honest about how your condition affects you in your own words
    •  fall into exaggerating - it can undermine your credibility
    •  be embarrassed to talk about how your condition affects you - it’s really important the panel gets a true picture of your daily life
Good luck and do let us know how you get on  :)

Hello hello @oceanblue68. Thanks for reaching out to us. I know how much strength and courage that can take.

I can hear the stress, frustration and concern caused by having to go through all the same motions as last time regarding PIP. I hope @poppy123456, Calcotti / another community member can support you further as this is their area of expertise. I wouldn't want to provide you with inaccurate advice.

In the meantime, I wanted to focus more on how you are feeling. I can hear you feel like it went wrong because you struggled to explain yourself properly and think it will go against you. It sounds like you are mainly stressed because you are concerned that "going against you" will look like not awarding you anything at all. This sounds tough.

What might help this to feel more manageable for you at the moment? We are here for you if we can do anything to support you, even if that's just providing a listening ear. You don't have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don't want to  :)

We've had other members that felt their Tribunal didn't go well but had a decision in their favour. Try not to speculate anything at this stage, i know that's difficult. Usually then send out the decision letter within a couple of days.

Good luck with the hearing today. I
As I read it, OP had the hearing prior to posting.

OP, as poppy says, all you can do is wait for the decision. It is very hard to know what the tribunal are thinking.

@oceanblue I am so sorry  if I mis read your posting especially as this sitation must be very upsetting for you.  Do keep in touch and let us know when you have a decision.  Lots of people come on this forum and say things haven't gone very well but still have successful outcomes.
Calcotti thank you for drawing my attention to this

No worries - I'm the one who should be apologising. Everyone else understood what you meant !  Do get in touch as soon as you hear from the DWP and try not to worry about things in the meantime.
