More points than expected

Hi, this maybe an unusual question as most people complain about not being awarded enough point, but what if your awarded points you don’t think you deserve, ie you get 12 points for mobility ( you can’t walk more than 50 metres ) but you can walk more than 50 metres and you have never said you couldn’t, many thanks

This can happen if you don't fully understand the PIP descriptors and what they mean. You said you can walk 50 metres but the real question is, can you walk that distance regularly, reliably, without pain and discomfort? If you can't then you're class as not be able to complete that activity at all.The same rules apply to all the descriptors.0

I never even seen any descriptors , on the form it said how far can you walk unaided & I put it varies from day to day , and I never had a assessment as they did it paper based , but I can walk 50 meters , do I need to tell them this , many thanks0

The activities/descriptors are on the form but some are worded slightly different they are from questions 3 to 14 on the PIP2 form. Yes i know you said you can walk 50 metres but could you do this regularly and reliably? It's very easy to underscore yourself in the same way you could overscore yourself.0
