In June my husband died and I had to claim UC. I also filled a UC50 form in. Do I get extra money if approved? Do I get payment from the date I handed a sick note in or from date I send the form in? Thank you for answers

Sorry for your loss. If you are found to have LCWRA you will receive extra money from the 4th month after you reported your health condition, providing you sent a fit note within 7 days of that and continue to send them without any gaps until the decision is made. The extra money isn't paid at all during the 3 full assessment period waiting time.0

I also just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of your loss. Have you been accessing any support to help you navigate your way through these early days of grief?
