Hi please could somebody help so after a long 3 years of fighting with pip i have been awarded enchnced rate on both conpartments through tribrunal from standard
I got my back pay for daily living then i was offered standard mobility i got back pay too this time i took it further and won as mentioned above.
The enchanced i rang up pip to check the process from my win she asked me to send in a copy of my tribrunal papers as she hasnt recieved them odd never been asked before to do that then she said u will get a lump some are u ok with that i said yes then she said ot will be offered to debt managment as its a large amount
But i have had previouse back pay from it and had previouse back pay from u c lwrac i know i have old ctc and housing benefit over payments over the years but this comes off my uc claim qnd since getting back with my partner his debts have joined and still got back pay she said because ive already in receipt of pip the lqrge back pay this time will be offord to old debts is this true

Yes, they can take any money you owe them from the money they owe you. At least the overpayment will be fully paid back if they do this and you will no longer need to repay anything back from your UC.You will need to wait until debt management decide what to do. There are no timescales how long this will take.0

Yes i will still have to pay money back they say the debts total to 9000 back pay mite be 7000 i think so still couple of grand to take but they havent taken my other back payments before so i dont understand why she would say what she said
I was told pip payments wasnt taken. But will leave me more in hardship and mentally drained0 -
Not sure who told you that they can't take a PIP backpay to repay any debt because they can. There's nothing you can do until debt management decide what they are going to do.

Yes i did that once before with my backpay for lwra waited for it to go to debt managment and told me to ring in a week but it went in my account so no need thanks for the info0
