Current house not suitable

I recently moved into a house (council property) due to mobility issues from a car accident. This place is highly unsuitable for me, I've fallen down the stairs many times and a starlit can't be installed due to the type of banister.
How do I get an OT assessment? I'm scared to even leave my room & remain upstairs in my bedroom at all times.

Thank you @Teddybear12. I will call my local council on Monday and I also plan to email my previous OT.
It's just so heartbreaking as this place was supposed to be better for me but now with all my falls it's made my disability and pain worse.0
