Work capability assessment

I sent my work capability questionnaire in March and today I’ve received a letter telling me I have an assessment. I’m going through stress, anxiety and low mood swings I also have low iron and I feel very weak and fatigue. I don’t go out on my own as I went through physical and emotional abuse from my family and that affects my mental health. I am also a carer will that affect my work capability? And also can I get accepted for LCWRA stress, anxiety and mood swings?

If it's New style ESA you're claiming then for this to continue to be paid for longer than 1 year you will need to be placed into the Support Group. For this you need to meet just one of the descriptors, you can see them here. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/employment-and-support-allowance/esa-glossary/support-group-descriptors

It’s for LCWRA. I would like to know can I get accepted for LCWRA for stress, anxiety, low mood swings, low iron and feeling very weak and will it affect me being a carer.

As you posted on the ESA part of the forum i assumed it was ESA you were claiming.Being found to have LCWRA is not about a diagnosis, it depends on how your conditions affect you. They will assess your ability to do any type of work. You need to look at the link i posted above to see if any of those apply to you because you need to meet one of them to qualify.I can't tell you if you do because i don't know anything about how your conditions affect you.Lots of people that are carers are found to have LCWRA but for UC if you're claiming carers element and then found to have LCWRA you can't be paid both elements at the same time, you will only receive the LCWRA element.0

Welcome to the community @mariam123 Thank you for joining us. It's great to have you on board!
I've moved your post into our Universal Credit category to prevent any confusion. I hope that's alright.
Many people feel quite anxious about the assessment, so you're certainly not alone in feeling that way. Are you familiar with the descriptors that poppy123456 posted?
I've sent you an email from community@scope.org.uk to see how we can support you, so please do keep an eye out for that and reply when you can.0
