PIP Review ... Will it still go ahead?

Hi, I've been in receipt of PIP since 2020, and have a telephone appointment scheduled for my review on 19th September, which is now going to be a national bank holiday, I have been trying to find out if this appointment will still go ahead seeing as it will coincide with our dear Queen's funeral? Obviously I would like to be able to watch the television coverage and 'pay my respects' so I'm just wondering if I anyone knows if appointments on that day are still going ahead or being rescheduled?

Contact the assessment provider tomorrow on the number on top of your assessment reminder letter and ask them to re-schedule. As the bank holiday was only announced yesterday many services will be busy trying to change appointments etc.1

Welcome to the community @rosabuttercup That's an interesting question! If you do end up calling them, please do let us know what they say if you can. I'm sure this is something that'll be affecting other people, too.1

It has been known for them to work weekends and bank holidays.

That sounds like a plan to me @rosabuttercup You could always have the TV coverage on while you're waiting for the call, so long as you'd still be able to hear your phone ringing.0

So I did call this morning, and the lady I spoke to said they have had many calls asking if the appointments scheduled for the day of our Queen's funeral were still going ahead and she said they are, if anything changes, they will send a text message, I just think it's pretty disgraceful to conduct PIP renewals on the day our monarch is being laid to rest0

Well I received a text message yesterday, and they've now changed the appointment for a couple of weeks later.0

Thanks for the update @rosabuttercup. How are you feeling about that? I imagine the longer wait could be frustrating, but you'll at least be more able to watch the coverage.0
