How long after phone call?

Last week Thursday I had a call from PIP. Person said they were calling on behalf of my case manager. They asked if I was okay to receive a back payment into my account. I said yes. But they couldn’t tell me anything else. When/what rate I was awarded or anything and I haven’t heard anything since.
Does anyone know how long after that phone call I could expect a decision letter?
Also I see that people get a text confirming they’ve been awarded PIP but I didn’t/haven’t received a text so a bit worried about that.
Thank you.

If it’s a first time claim then they usually send a text if you’ve been awarded. Once the decision is made and money owed is paid you will receive this in your bank between 3-5 working days. Money is usually received before the decision letter.0

Thank you for your reply Poppy. Yes first time claim. On the phone when asking if I’d be ok with a lump back pay - not for a very long timeframe - the woman said I’d been awarded but she didn’t know the award. But I haven’t received a text so I guess payment hasn’t been sent.0

Still no text
however I called the pip number and the automated voice told me my next (first) PIP payment would be on the 6th October for £627.60. Would this mean I’ve been awarded enhanced on both? Will I get my back payment before this date?0 -
That is the correct amounts for enhanced/enhanced. The automated payments line can make some mistakes, any back-payments usually don’t show on this so you will have to keep an eye out on your bank account/letter in the post or phone PIP tomorrow and speak to an adviser. Brilliant news should this be correct.0

Thank you Bg844. I will try and give them a call tomorrow. Shall I just ask them for an update or when I will get back payment?0

You can ask if a decision has been made, if it has they will tell you. The automated payment line has been known not to be the most reliable.
