So I currently get income support due to being a lone parent but my youngest is about to turn 5 and I’ve been told my IS will stop I currently get £400 every fortnight from it due to having disability premium top ups because I get PIP (enhanced rate on both components)
my question is what do I do now as I will lose my IS and the premiums which is a loss of 800 per month that’s a lot of money me being a single parent of two and disabled I still of course have my pip and child tax credit but I’m not sure how far it will stretch will I be entitled to anything else? I’ve heard of UC but apparently people are worse off being on it?

Whether or not you will be better or worse off will depend on your circumstances.
If you claim UC your Tax Credits will stop.
If you have a health condition that limits your ability to work then you should declare this when applying for UC and will then be referred for a Work Capability Assessment, the outcome of that could increase your UC entitlement.
You should try using a benefits calculator and/or seek help from an advice agency to find out what you may be entitled to.0
