lwcwa backpayment?

hi. I started my uc claim in January of 2021 and have been providing fit notes ever since. last week I received a message saying that i am eligible for lwcwa payments too. just wondering if ill recieve a backpayment as it's been over a year since i started providing evidence of my disability

You should be entitled to the LCWRA element from May or June 2021 depending on your UC monthly dates and exactly when you reported the health condition.0

they actually did the assessment without my knowledge for this but my usual assessment period is between the 14th and 16th of every month. I then get paid on the 20th.0

If you sent your fit note within 7 days of this then your waiting period will be as follows. Feb/March, March/April, April/May... LCWRA starts from AP 14th May to 13th June and first payment would be 20th June.It often takes a few weeks to pay what they owe you. They first need to recalculate your past statements to work out how much they owe. Once this is done you'll receive a letter on your journal.0
