Hi, my name is zambouka! Can I be down as an official carer for my father, as well as my mother?

Question I care for my mother at home can i also care for my father i am a registered as a carer for my mother however i care for my father but not down as official and would like to know if can be

    If you are thinking about Carers Allowance, you can only claim for one person. I’m not sure any other reason, other than at your GP, you register as a carer.

    You can register with a GP but if you're already registered then you don't need to do this twice.

    I'd also be interested to hear about for what purpose you'd like to register as a carer for your father, as well as your mother. Please do give us some more details if you feel comfortable doing so :) 

    I can imagine that caring for them both might take a bit of a toll on you, both physically and mentally. Are you receiving any support to help you care for your own wellbeing?
