Never. My GP doesn't know how my conditions affect me.
Oh. Not even like a specialist. Mind you they wouldn’t know either

@bluefox I don’t work atm, job centre done a capability for work assignment and I was awarded LCWRA, the last time I worked was for a couple of months in 2020 in between lockdowns but that job stressed me to high hell

@poppy123456 I didn’t realise it was just a questionnaire, all I know is I ticked something to consent for them to contact the gp and I probably didn’t read that part properly because I always tick yes to contact with the gp even though mine are pretty useless since I’ve been registered with them 2 years and never seen a single dr only ever been called

Although you agree for them to contact them it doesn't mean they do.

@poppy123456 I don’t know if they contacted mine or not, Bluefox was saying they didn’t know what evidence to gather and I was saying I didn’t send any, only ticked the consent box for contacting my GP.

Did you need any input from a specialist

No. My review last year the only medical evidence i sent was a OT report and a repeat prescription list. The rest of my evidence was anecdotal. From this i had a paper based assessment.
Medical evidence isn't really needed for a successful PIP claim.

    What’s an OT report?

    Assuming Occupational Therapist

I suppose in some ways though that’s quite good evidence.

It didn't give much detail at all on it but i sent it anyway. Actually, thinking about it there was no assessment report written because my file wasn't even sent to the health assessment providers. The decision maker made a decision based off what i sent and the assessment report from my assessment back in 2016.

Do you have suspected ASD like myself? Or is it pain. I’m under pain management too

Did you only claim for anxiety and depression?

Oh okay. Yeah they probably didn’t I imagine. I think it’s hit and miss if you get an award. Looking at my award I wasn’t really awarded for my non epileptic seizures. More to do with my mental health.

I have depression and anxiety, my main issue is anxiety and I am now getting lower rate daily living PIP. It’s how the condition affects the person, not what the condition is. I’d advise them to apply regardless of what others have said they can or can’t get. Everyone is different and every decision maker is different so it’ll all boil down to that.
@MrsCactus9 did you ever manage to get your GP to send you to a psychologist or psychiatrist for assessment at all during that time
