Thanks for explaining that @sniper65
You'll need to contact the PIP phone line to get your claim started, I think. Here's their information, taken from this gov.uk page:PIP new claims
Telephone: 0800 917 2222
Textphone: 0800 917 7777
Relay UK (if you cannot hear or speak on the phone): 18001 then 0800 917 2222
British Sign Language (BSL) video relay service if you’re on a computer - find out how to use the service on mobile or tablet
Calling from abroad: +44 191 218 7766
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Find out about call chargesIt can unfortunately be quite difficult to get through, so you might have to stick with it. We've heard from some members that they find it best to call first thing in the morning, once they've opened.
I think you can start your claim by post, but it can take longer.
I can imagine that stopping working after working for so many years could be quite tough to deal with. You've mentioned that you're getting some support for an anxiety disorder, is that right? Are you finding it helpful?

Have you reported your health condition supported by a fit note from your GP? If not then you should do this by reporting a change of circumstances, click health and report the condition. This will start the work capability assessment process off (assuming you're not working and earning more than 16xNMW/week.sniper65 said:I was advised by disability Ipswich to ask you for a form in the post
Scope has nothing to do with DWP and they won't be able to send you a PIP form.2 -
Yes I have a fit note every two months it stems from a train crash in 2002 it was my train we hit a lorry and despite a broken arm and damaged neck , I rescued the passengers for which I got the highest bravery award , and I guess anxiety stayed with me until li left in 2019 and it is hard to ssuddenly struggle I’m so gratefull what a wonderfull site , Robbie0

Did you manage to get through @sniper65? My understanding is that you can only really ring them. The gov.uk website does say the following, however:Start your claim by post
You can start a claim by post instead, but it takes longer to get a decision.
Send a letter to ‘Personal Independence Payment New Claims’.
You’ll be sent a form asking for your personal information, such as your address and your age. Fill in and return the form.
You’ll then be sent a form which asks about your disability or condition.
