I’ve just been awarded PIP via txt message saying I will get a letter in 2 weeks

will I get backdated money before my first payment and when can I expect to get the backdated money from time of claim 

will I get backdated money before I get my letter

I got my text then the back payment on the 4th day and then the letter came,.then the first payment will come 4 weeks later (this is for me)

Ring the pip number and after answering the security question it tells you the first payment date and amount (amount isn't always correct on there)

Potentially the end of this week. Providing you didn't transfer from DLA.

No was a new claim it was very quick nit sure what I’m getting yet but pleased I’m getting extra help

I rang the number says my next payment is on 31st October for £505.40

if that’s correct it’s more a month than I thought so will be very happy

The automated system isn’t reliable. The figure you are quoting looks exactly like Standard DL and Enhanced Mobility. 

Backdated sums do not show on that system and are paid separately.
