Telephone assessment. How am I supposed to know when they've received the report?

Hi all.
I had my PIP assessment a little over 2 weeks ago, I read that I could request a copy of the report prior to the decision. I rang 2 days ago and spent a hour in a queue, I eventually got through. After going through usual security checks, the assistant said that after checking my file Capita would be in contact soon to do the assessment. I pointed out to her the assessment has already happened and I'm after a copy of the assessment, I was then told that they have not received the report yet. I'm a little lost, the assessor said it would be sent that day 2 weeks ago but they haven't received yet. The assistant said I should ring again when they have received it, how am I supposed to know when they have received it to ring and request a copy?. It's puzzling

That does seem contradictory, but if you put a mobile phone number on your contact details, there's a good chance you'll receive a text message when they've received the forms.
Hopefully it's just been delayed by backlogs and bank holidays and strikes etc and won't take much longer.0 -
Thankyou for reply, I did summit my mobile and landline on application. It was just confusing me that the assistant wasn't aware Capita had done assessment and that they hadn't received it. I probably wrongly assumed in this modern age that the report would have been sent via email not post (which in my opinion isn't very efficient)0

Your report will be in audit, nothing to worry about. It simply means the quality of your assessment report is being checked.
This is normal practice and when your report is received back at the DWP you should receive a text.1 -

I can see how that'd feel quite puzzling! It might be worth noting that some people find requesting a copy of the report prior to getting their decision letter makes their anxiety over the outcome a bit worse. It's of course up to you, though!
How did you find the assessment?0 -
The assessment has nothing to do with PIP so they wouldn’t know when your assessment was.0

The reason I'm requesting a copy is because after my relationship broke down I had to take a flat ASAP, unfortunately for me now I have been here a while I have to lock myself in as I don't trust the type of people living here (alcoholics and drug abusers). Atleast if the assessment shows a possible good outcome I have something to lift me and if it looks like it's not so good then who knows, maybe it is a good time to accept defeat and give up...0
