Fora DLA to PIP transfer the PIP decision then ends the DLA claim following which the PIP award begins. What you have been told is correct.

But it wasnt just a transfer it was because of a change in circumstances if i was on low rate pip and and reported a change then was awarded high rate it would be backdated

It still means you are transferred from DLA to PIP. What you have been advised is correct.

You are not the first person to ask the same question in the past week. It's been the rules since PIP was introduced in April 2013 that transferring from DLA to PIP, even when you report changes, there's no money owed.

Thanks for letting me know guys i dont realy think its fair like coz if i had been on pip aleady and moved from low rate to high it would of been backdated but at least its all over now anyway and its been awarded and not regected so there is that

It is understandable that that feels unfair, particularly when the process takes so long due to the delays by PIP. Sadly however it is how the legislation was written.
