Many of those on that list can be done online quick and easily if you’d of preferred. Some of those you have to do online. If you have any other memberships such as Netflix or store reward cards i.e. Tesco Clubcard they will need updating too, good luck with the move.

Good luck with your new home @Luchia
The list looks good to me, if you get much post from royal mail you can have your post redirected, that way you wont miss anything, just another idea.

The way I work out what / who needs informing with any change is by going through my email inbox.

Good luck with your move @Luchia.
Have you let HMRC know. or your pension provider, if you have one.

Hi @Luchia it's almost time for your move, how exciting! As someone who has moved recently myself, I can relate to how you're feeling now, it's surprising how many things you suddenly realise you need to sort out  :D

The only thing I can think to add, is to let your local council know so that you can vote from your new address in any elections. I think some councils might offer a 'tell us once' service which covers most things, but perhaps enquire when you talk to them about council tax.

It'll be a bit of a whirlwind these first few weeks, but you'll get it sorted out :)

It’s a council Bungalow so I assume they will update the address for voting etc on their end but I’ll ask them at appointment for the keys just to be safe, Not sure if that would cover HMRC too but I’ll double check.

Thankfully I’ve found a moving company that pack and unpack so nothing really to do for that part, a lot of furniture is been donated as I want all new stuff so that makes things a lot easier

Plus vehicle logbook (V5) and car insurance if they have a car.

    Passport if applicable.

Bus pass or blue badge if applicable.

Also mentioned Amazon so Ebay may be applicable.

No changes needed for passport or BB. If you do have a BB then you can use this as normal at your new address. Just reapply for your new one before the existing one runs out.

Trying to be as prepared as possible, I’ll be honest I didn’t think we would get a Bungalow so fast but I’m very happy we did, I’ve already got a quote from a removal company and they pack everything up so that’s one huge stress avoided

It’s a council property so I’m hoping they update all the details automatically, The tenancy made me giggle a little it’s for 120 years so they are been very optimistic with my life expectancy lol

The council won't update all your records automatically as it's housing dept arrange the move. You will need to inform council tax etc

Go through a bank statement and any direct debit or subscriptions will need changing
Then go through emails and post you get

    Good luck with the move.

Also leave new occupants your forwarding details in case they get any post if your not having in redirected

Just phoned them to check and thankfully Council Tax will automatically change over to new address so that’s a relief

Very exciting @Luchia and it sounds as though you've thought of everything I could think of. Wishing you the best of luck for the move.
