Hi,
My condition has deteriorated and so I am going to go through the process of updating circumstances. Has anyone done this? If so what is the process like?

If you report a change you will be sent a new health questionnaire and will most likely have a new assessment. It’s effectively like making a new claim again.
Before reporting check whether or not the extra difficulties you have will actually have the possibility of resulting in additional points and that the extra points are sufficient to change your award. If that isn’t the case there is no point reporting the change.

Hello @JessB
You'd need report a change of circumstances as mentioned above, and it might well be worth seeking professional advice to check things beforehand, you can use Advice Local to search.Change of circumstances
You must contact the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) enquiry line if:
- your personal details change, for example your name, address or doctor
- the help you need or your condition changes
- your condition has worsened and you’re not expected to live more than 6 months
- you go into hospital or a care home
- you go abroad
- you’re imprisoned or held in detention
- your immigration status has changed, if you’re not a British citizen
I hope this helps
