I feel it is disgusting and that people are being treated with such disregard. Fill out form and you will hear within 2 weeks ( rubbish) ring them and they say pur system says you are entitled to it and will be paid in due course. Explain I have filled out missing payment form and get the response that I will recievea letter to inform me if I'm eligible for payment ( already told I am ) and also that the letter should inform as to whether payment will be made. Recieved letter 3 weeks later oh and guess what says will be paid in due course. Now due course is what 1 day , 1 month , 2 months ????
This really need addressing. We are legally entitled to this payment so there is no reason as to why it hasn't been paid. They have a list clearly on there system to say who is eligible so just release a payment. Go down the list and release. Such a balls up and it is affecting many people. Even if they give a date at least it is better than nothing. Oh have also contacted local mp who doesn't seem to be bothered as had no reply in 2 weeks .

If you take time to look around the threads on this forum, you will see there are many discussions about missing or late payments, most with possible reasons why.............Postal strikes..............DWP backlog (a massive one at that)...............1

I fully understand postal strikes as to why people may have not recieved a letter, but as for dwp backlog this is not a good enough excuse. After speaking with them on the phone it took them less than a minute to bring up on there system that I was entitled ( which I knew ) . So this being why can they not work there way through each person and start distributing the COL payment ( they have it to give) instead of just saying be paid in due course. This is what is causing alot of issues with alot of people is the not even knowing as to when. This is what is not acceptable and needs to be addressed and sorted. Also I understand a big backlog but they managed to pay 6m people in 11 days and like said it took less than a minute for them to say was entitled.0

I realise it's frustrating but there's really nothing anyone here can do. It's pointless ringing PIP because they can't give any information other than what you already know "you're entitled to it"
