How long does it take to confirm chosen new school on EHCP

Hi,
I have named my daughters new school I would like her to attend today. I was just wondering if any one has any idea on how long it takes for them to get back to you to let you know if your child has a space there or not? I wondered if there was a deadline they have to get back to you by.
Thank you

I'm not sure about this I'm afraid @knr8_xo. I'm wondering whether one of our lovely volunteers, @L_Volunteer, may know

Hi @knr8_xo. Thanks for reaching out to us.
Unfortunately, the answer is "it depends" - on the school and on the local authority. The school you have named would be best placed to answer this, and their admissions team in particular.
It would also depend on if this adjustment to the EHCP has been accepted by your local authority. Have your local authority provided you with a response of agreement or a decline yet?
Apologies that I cannot provide a concrete answer! If we can do anything else to help please don't hesitate to let us know. We are all here for you and listening to you0
