Who do you think it will be?
I for myself think we need a General Election.
    Definitely need General Election.

Yes it's on BBC as breaking news I think she was made to resign  as yesterday she was shouting at labour saying she's a fighter and not going anywhere, today she's gone

She was never up to the job and I’m really surprised that she was elected at all. I’ve never felt sorry for a prime minister before but every time I saw her I felt that way.

I hope we get someone sensible next. I think Rishi Sunak would be fine, though personally I wouldn’t vote for any of them.

I've just heard on the news that Boris will be in the race for leadership, no idea how true that is.
I agree a general election is needed.

Boris would be favoured by much of the Tory membership if they were involved but it seems more likely that MPs will try and agree somebody and he wouldn’t get a majority of MPs.

Oddly, arguably Boris has more legitimacy than anybody because he was in place when the electorate chose a Tory government. Change from Boris and now from Truss has only resulted from the actions of Tory MPs.

I’m all for Boris Johnson’s return. I know I have said I supported him until the very end in a previous comment of mine but this country is a big mess at the moment and as above he is the one who won the last election. It probably won’t happen but the other candidates aren’t for me.

Almost...anyone but Boris, he was hard enough to get out last time when he dirtied his copy book several times over. He was a good orator but we need more than a bag of wind to lead us out of this mess.

She is silly she should of stood her ground she has been  bullied  out and if borris gets back in they are just a load of hypocrits there will be a new prime minister by Tuesday they say.

Liz truss shouldn't of given up the Welsh want independence  the world has gone mad  after watching them act like children in Parliament I wouldn't trust them to run a play school

Should have a president instead of all this mess

This is my view / opinion, so please don`t berate me because / if you disagree.  Objective comments are welcome so long as they don`t "hint" of "my views are better than yours, therefore yours are wrong".

I don`t think there should be a General Election; we, the electorate, voted for the conservative party and not for the Prime Minister.  Therefore it`s up to the Tories to select the PM if one stands down or is voted out.  Their choice will dictate the future of the party.
I believe the Tories made a mistake hounding Boris out and I think it will come back to bite them in the a.se.  He had his faults, as every Prime Minister does (read that as every politician) but, in my opinion, he was a victim of the ever changing face of politics towards farcical unprofessionalism.
We`re supposed to be "the seat of democracy", but when you watch the antics in the political world it`s quite easy to imagine replacing all the politicians with banana throwing chimps or petulant children throwing their dummies out of the pram.
I`d like to see Boris back in; after the events of the last farcical 45 days, he couldn`t make it any worse.

She hasn`t been bullied out at all. She has, single handedly, almost shafted our economy.  I know Kwarteng did the books and announced his lethal intentions, but (supposedly) he was told to be drastic by Truss.
I also thought you were pro-monarchy?  A president (usually) sits when there is a republic (when there is no monarchy).
