Welcome to the community @rachaelgod :) How are you doing this weekend?

We've had quite a few people post about this, especially lately.

Turn2Us have some information on getting help for white goods and other household items, which you might find helpful to read.

Have you had a look to see whether your local charity shop has any sofas in? They're significantly cheaper than buying new, and they're often able to drop the item off at your home.

I am due to move into a more appropriate flat in a few weeks, I was just wondering if there is a grant who help available for decorating materials. I have a friend who has offered to paint and wallpaper. I am finally going to have accommodation, suitable for my needs.

You can try speaking to your Local Authority who may have some funding for things like this. If you'll be renting from social housing i know they used to allow you a very small amount of funding to buy paid, i have no idea if this is still possible but you can ask them.
Other than that i'm not aware of any grants available nationally. You can try doing a search in your local area.
