Hi all,
i hope you can help with some guidance/advice/thoughts
on September 5th my utility company SSE received a payment of £150 which I thought may be due to a possible disability payment or something,
I am not registered as disabled but do get ESA (support group) topped up with LCWRA from universal credit, however, I do not understand why (I assume DWP) have made this payment, have they classed me as being disabled ( I was in hospital for 6 months with c diff which then caused multiple organ infections because of c diff but not actual c diff in them just specific organ infections) if they have classed me as disabled, how and why? Or am I missing the point completely here? If they do, should I be claiming something else?
sorry for the long winded post but your thoughts would be greatly appreciated

kind regards

Colin

That seems it. You are eligible automatically based upon your circumstances.

It can't be that because that isn't paid in September, it's paid between Oct 2022 and March 2023. Only those claiming Pension credit are automatically entitled to it. The rest of us need to wait to until we receive a letter to tell us we are entitled to it. https://www.gov.uk/the-warm-home-discount-scheme

I have no idea, you will need to contact SSE to ask them. I can't find any information on their website to suggest what it could be.
