Hi I'm just after a bit of advice. I found out this morning my child qualifies for DLA. I'm still on old style benefits.. Do I need to inform child tax and housing benefit that I now receive dla for my child once I've received the letter of what rates it'll be. Thank you.

Yes, you'll need to contact HMRC regarding your child tax credits. You will be entitled to the disabled child premium, which will be backdated to the date you started the DLA claim. If the DLA includes high rate care you will also be entitled to the Severe disabled child element.https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/disabled-childrenYou should also report the changes for housing benefit although the amount you're entitled to may not change.

If you are earning less than £132/week you could claim Carer's Allowance.
Are you getting anything other than Tax Credits and HB?0
