Hi everyone I’m new to the forum, I got a text from pip on 24th October saying ‘we have not yet made a decision on your pip claim we will write to you when we have’ and then I received a letter saying the exact same thing (25th October). How long from then will I get my decision and will that I receive it by text 😕

Welcome to the community @twixmum :) How are you doing today?

That's a standard text and letter, so it's nothing to worry about! My understanding is that it can take around 2 to 12 weeks to receive the decision.

You may receive a text saying whether your claim has been successful, but you'll need to wait for the decision letter to see what you've actually been awarded. Some people find the money comes into their account before the letter arrives, if they're successful with their claim, so it's worth keeping an eye on your bank account too.

How did you find the assessment?

Thanks for the advice 🙂 I’m ok thanks have good days and bad days got to get on with it. Oh so I could get a text if awarded it thanks 😊 do they text if I’m not awarded it so if I don’t get it I don’t receive a text saying my claim is unsuccessful x thanks for advice I know I’m being annoying sorry. I am on lcwra so hoping I get pip but I completely understand they’re completely separate benefits

From what I have seen in here you only get a text if awarded if refused you are informed by letter

Is lcwra and pip not related ? I didn’t think so but people who have been knocked back from pip get awarded lcwra so

No, they are completely different benefits. Claiming one doesn't automatically entitle you to the other.

I have no idea if they will. Even if they do it doesn’t automatically entitle you to PIP.
