NHS CHC and ESA

Hi there,
I'm appointee and deputy for property and affairs for my brother, Ethan, who has severe learning disabilities. His social worker has recently requested consent to undertake NHS Continuing Health Care (CHC) eligibility assessments. I've done some reading but can't quite make out how this will impact Ethan's benefits eligibility.
Ethan currently receives ESA and the higher mobility component for PIP, he lives in a residential home and currently contributes towards his care which is provided for by the LA.
I'd appreciate any insight people might have on how this could impact Ethan. I understand the LA's initiative is obviously related to cost! they want to share it with the NHS. However, I don't want Ethan's entitlements to suffer as a result.
Appreciate any/all insight.
Best wishes,
Liam

Hi Hannah,
Thank you for the welcome! That's alright, I think it's quite a niche question to be honest. I haven't been able to find much online but fortunately I found a service specialising in CHC who gave some free advice, where most charge. Can recommend https://www.beaconchc.co.uk/ if others looking for the same.
Thanks,

See pages 28 and 29 for some information on disability benefits but doesn't unfortunately refer to ESA but to the best of my knowledge ESA is not affected.
