Hi
i got my PIP award letter, but it has not mentioned anything about back payments, does that letter come separately or do I have to hang on hold for up to 40 minutes on the phone to them and get through only to be cut off 😞 thank you in advance xxx

Under the decision telling you which components you’re getting it should say ‘We will pay you £x on X. This is the money we owe you from date-date’. Just to check, when did you apply?

Have you transferred from DLA? If so then you will not be owed any money, even if the PIP award is higher than the DLA award.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

I applied in February, but there is nothing at all about the back payment

Then you will need to ring PIP and ask them. If you owe them money then it’s possible they have sent it to debt management.

Hi if you have moved over to pip from DLA then you will not receave any backdated money....if you have had a review assessment and your aword had gone up encreased from standard to enhanced you will receave a lump sum of money for exsample if you have been waiting over 2 years and 9 months, like me form when i sent my review form back and been assessed your receave all that backdated money from the day you sent your review form back but only like me you have gone from standard rates to enhanced rates hope this helped
