Bless you @Steve_in_The_City such a sad life for you, i just want to hug you, no child deserves this, has it made you a loner or have you managed to find love/friendship/companions - it makes me feel that you were let down by everyone the system as well. x

Heights, I can't even climb a ladder to change a lightbulb without the fear and dizziness coming on.

And being underwater, sometimes even a sink full of water is enough to trigger it... but yet I am happiest at the beach lol and would feel lost without living near the coast.

Also to a lesser extent wide open spaces, especially during thunderstorms :/

Loud and random noises too. Which also includes the chaotic noises crowds make.

Hi @Ada @SueHeath @Binky1234 Thank you for your comments. I think your life has been harder than mine, Ada. SueHeath you are insightful to ask did it make me loner, because it could have done. It has left me shy and withdrawn and very quiet, but people seem to like this and I make friends easily. Thankfully I started to meet nice people once I ditched the family and I started to feel happier and better about myself. I met my partner when I was 17 and at last had someone I could trust and rely on. Life has been reasonably good since then. I have had some amazing times and met amazing people. So it all worked out for me in the end, against the odds. One thing that people say about me is that I am kind. I think this is because of the cruelty I suffered; I don't want to inflict it on other people. That said, I do stand up for myself, shy or not!
