HI
I am needing some advice. I am receiving income based
Esa and housing benefit and live in a small one bed council flat. it is
eligible for right to buy and my brother can buy it with cash. It would
be my first home.
So my question is .. how do I purchase
the home without my ESA stopping. If he puts that money into my bank
account and i buy the home .. will my income related ESA benefit stop ? I
know i am only allowed 16k savings on Esa. Are there any options so i
can own my own home without my Esa stopping. ThanksComments

Talk to solicitor whether the money can go direct from your brother to the solicitor so that it doesn't go through you account. If that is not permitted, and it may not be, arrange for the money to come in and out of your account on the same day if possibleInformation I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Have you been able to speak to the solicitor @kippers? Welcome to the community, by the way
