Evening all. I need help with my local council housing. We are in a3 bed council house. Ot said my 3 kids need own bedrooms as all 3 have difficulty. We have been bidding and look for a 4bed roomed. No help apart from band a. Been like this since2017

I would think there's a shortage of 4 bedroom homes in a lot of areas. All you can do is keep bidding or see if you can get an exchange with someone else.

I would imagine a long wait for 4 bed property
My friend waited 5 years to get one with 5 children and 2 adults in a 2 bed with 2 of the children disabled
Even now the kids still have to share rooms0 -
Unfortunately there is a major shortage of 4 Bedroom council homes, as you have already been given Band A all you can do is keep bidding, They have already done everything they can for you by giving you Band A, you could also look into private renting but I’d imagine it would cost considerably more.0

Hi @clairemumof3
As the others have said, it might be quite difficult unfortunately, and may take some time.
Can you think of anything that could be done in the meantime to make things more manageable for you and your children?0
