Hi, I’m new, I received a text from DWP on Friday to say they have awarded me pip and the details will come in a letter. I know the letter takes two weeks, do folk know, will my first payment be after the letter arrives or should I look for it before? Thanks for any help.

Check your bank on Wednesday - Friday. It's usually 3 - 5 working days after award. The money usually comes first.0

Thank you for the information, I appreciate it. I feel like I am trying to wade through treacle in understanding everything plus dealing with all the health and disability things that come up.0

It can be a tricky and tiring process to say the least @BlondeFaerie and I'm glad the community could help to reassure you
Hopefully your letter will arrive before long, and you can put your mind to rest!
If you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask, and feel free to take a look around the forum if you'd like.
