And am waiting on the first payment for this as there issues over sick notes there end
work have now decided to terminate the job under capability medical which I fully understand
they have been very good for 8 months considering I had only been with them 3 days
I’m very sad at present
as I’m LCWRA do I now have to look for a new job

@sandy
thank you for prompt reply
so me now being unemployed so to speak will not mean all Money will stop
I’m soo worried this will happen
I’ve not earned a penny in 8 months and been so thankful for UC payments and will continue to be in need
I’ve just been awarded pip DL element so that is a god send too
all I need is the LCWRA element to start being paid
was just worried this would now be at risk
like employer said in the capability meeting none of this is your fault.So scared and struggling to take all this onboard it’s been relentless with health now this0 -

No because you've been found to have LCWRA. You haven't worked for the past 8 months so nothing will change with your UC.

@poppy123456. Thank you
when you look at it like how you describe yes there isn’t any change
I worked as a chef for 25 years and I’m struggling emotionally
them letting me go feels like my catering days may be over and that makes me sad
I did cry in front of them yesterday when they said the words
it’s been months of not recognising my life
they have said I’m due accrued holiday payment and 1 weeks notice payment
that I did not expect either
but I suspect they are legally having to pay this
not that it’s about the money
thank you0 -
Hi there
It is understandable you are emotional about being let go but as you say they have been reasonable with your situation
Yes they are required to pay you any accrued holiday pay and notice pay . Do be aware this could affect your uc in the assessment period you recieve the payment from work poppy will know more about this than me0 -
@janer1967. Thank you
ahh yes okay I did wonder if that may be the case
will it be classed as earnings ?
so I’m guessing that month my UC payment will be less as this will be factored in
will it be the same as previous
55p in every pound earned ?0 -
Good morning @Headcook bless you i understand how you feel with work and ill health darling, i'm roughly in the same position, when you have worked and made a carear for yourself it does bring you down, some people i know use the phase they feel they are on the "scrap heap" which is what happened to me in the 1st few months of being of work and realising i will never be able to do my job again. You are going through the stress's of work attitudes and sorting your money out. I am hoping that now you are at this stage that you will start settling and excepting things about your working life. I wish you all the luck in the world and truly hope you settle and a just to being an early "retired person" which is how i looked at it x0

Holiday pay and pay in lieu of notice will affect your UC.As you have LCWRA then you will have the work allowance so any earnings up to this amount will not affect your UC. For the work allowance if you claim for help with any rent it will be £344, if you don't then it's £573. Anything over this amount your UC will reduce by 55%.

I'm not expert on hoe it will affect your uc but as you are lcwra you will have a work allowance now meaning you will be allowed certain amount of pay before any deductions are made
@poppy123456 is the best to advise you0 -
Thank you all you are all amazing @SueHeath I wish you well also great way to look upon it
@poppy123456 the Lcwra is not being paid yet as there ongoing issues with when the extra element should have started so that is awaiting DM to resolve
will that change the advise you have given regards work allowance as I have not been informed as yet that there is a work allowance on my claim
yes my claim includes housing I believe it’s listed as rent on my monthly statements
thank you0 -
Yes i remember your other thread. The work allowance still applies because it starts from when you first reported your health condition. The LCWRA applies from the same time it's just there's a full 3 month waiting period for the LCWRA element to start.

@poppy123456
Thank you for Remembering my other thread
yes I’ve exceeded 3 month waiting period having sent sick notes continues for 8 months
and the extra element of lcwra has not started being paid
They are using 9 th sept 22 as start of my 3 months
when it’s April 2nd on my very first sick note that I sent them.That will explain why when I recieved 3 days pay for the work I had done before all this health started the whole amount earned was at 55% and no work allowance factored in
guessing they owe me more money when statements are amended if DM finally gives me a favourable outcome
thank you all0 -
Feeling really down last 4 days
have nodule on lung and been told it infection and I’m growing a mycrobacteria similar to TB
but it’s not
apparently this is so rare and my respiratory doctor has said he sees 2 cases a year
will be on meds for 6 months plus
as if I have enough going on with heart attack and heart failure now this
and loosing job
why me.0 -
Bless you @Headcook I can understand you feeling low, as Teddy as said, the positive thing is, as you say it's a treatable condition. just come at a really bad time for you to have to except, perhaps try and look at it that you've had your three pieces of bad news so you must have good news to come. Good luck from me also.0

Thank you
my life will never be the same
work coach said UC will support you
felt like saying please get on and get extra element of LCWRA paid to me as it’s wrong making me wait when I’ve done my waiting and this should not be happening0
