You will likely need to have another assessment before the decision is made. This can be either by phone, face to face or video call.
There are huge bacnklogs of people waiting for assessments for reviews so the whole process could take inexcess of several months.
Once an appointment becomes available you will be contacted. I'm not aware of them sending texts for award decisions on reviews.

I just called the DWP and actually got to speak directly with a case manager.

Hi dill, I’m in the exact same situation! I got my text last Thursday and I’ve been very anxious. Would you mind keeping us updated?

Welcome to the community @dill :)

What did the case manager say?
He confirmed that they had received my form and supporting evidence and explained that if an assessment was needed it could take some time for a decision. I'm nit sure if he was my specific case manager or not, but he was most helpful. I have been in receipt of DLA then PIP for nearly 13 years and never got to speak with a case manager.

It sounds really positive that he confirmed that they had received your form and supporting evidence @dill. How are you feeling about everything at the moment?

It sounds difficult that if an assessment was needed it could take some time for a decision. What, if anything, might support you through this if this is needed?

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I am sure your experiences will be invaluable for people experiencing similar things.

Take care for now and we will look forward to hopefully hearing from you again soon  :)

I thought it wasn't that long going by your other thread. My advice to you would be to try to forget about it for now otherwise it could seem like forever, though i do understand the stress it causes. The delays are boyond anyone's control.

DWP received my review form last Wednesday 9th.  Today they have made a decision without an assessment. It has not been Scanned in to the system can take 24 hours. Lady said I will get a text tomorrow but award letter could take a couple of weeks and to ring back tomorrow to get award details. That was quick.
