Great to hear you had a positive assessment although it’s not down to the assessor to tell you any sort of information regarding an award, once the report is returned you should expect a decision within 12 weeks.0

Welcome to the community @gadge690 Thank you for letting us know how your assessment went. I'm glad that you seem to have had a positive experience! I'm sure your post will be comforting for others to read.
Did you find the technical side of having a video assessment okay?
Please do keep us updated!0 -
yes the technical side was quite straightforward I am not very technologically minded but found it easy enough0

That's good @gadge690 I know these things don't always go to plan!0

had text from dwp today telling me they have received written report and could be up to 8 weeks before decision0
-
That would be more like up to 12 weeks sometimes longer.0

Well its been a week now and I am questioning myself as if I said the right things. Thought my anxiety would drop once I had the assessment, how wrong I was. I am already prepared to go through mandatory reconsideration and to appeal as i expected to have to do this after speaking with others who have been through the process. Just a matter of waiting now.0

tried to get assessment report but was on hold for over an hour so gave up0

It sounds like things are really difficult for you at the moment @gadge690, especially with questioning yourself as if you said the right things. You have been really brave in sharing this with us.
I know it can take a lot of courage to talk openly about what you are experiencing and how you are feeling. You have done such a great job at this.
Is there anything which might help this feel more manageable for you at the moment and help reduce your anxiety? We are here for you and listening to you if you would like to share more with us.
Please don’t hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to support you. You don’t have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don’t want to

We have awarded you PIP We have sent you a decision letter explaining the award. Please allow 2 weeks to receive this. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change. Never in a million years did i expect an award without going to appeal, now waiting to see what i have been awarded.0

How long after the report was received did you get your outcome text? Glad it was successful0

Great news, well done @Gadge690! I hope that the letter arrives soon. How are you feeling now, that you've had some time to process it?0

Yes, definitely @gadge690. It's the uncertainty and insecurity that leaves a lot of people feeling stressed and anxious I think. I'm glad that you're feeling more settled today Do you have any plans for the week ahead?0

You sound very optimistic about that @gadge690! What do you think of their performance so far? I haven't been watching it.0
