It can take anything up to about 8 weeks, sometimes longer to receive any money owed and around the same time to put your award into payment.1 -

i won’t my appeal on 08/08/22 and reviewed my back pay (a wee before the award letter) on 23/09/222. I’m now having to chase the £150 disability payment that I haven’t been paid yet 😡
Now ive just got to sit tight for my payments, i might ring them this week and see how long? They already have my updated bank details also as i rang them.

Hi @jacktiddles. It can take a little longer when it's a large amount as the payments can be flagged to go through additional checks. Do give them a ring through and see if they can update you on when to expect your backdated payment.1

When you ring PIP you are speaking to someone from a call centre, not someone from DWP. After a Tribunal win it can take anything up to 8 weeks, sometimes longer to receive money owed and to put your award into payment.

@Alex_Scope thanks, i spoke to them and they said theyd not received anything yet from the tribunal but the tribunal have confirmed to me they have sent it so its just waiting for pip to see it.
Ive had a letter from the tribunal already saying i won and when ill be getting backdated to.
When i spoke to pip they said i would recieve a letter saying how much they owe me in arrears and how much id be getting a month etc.. they told me to ring back in 2 weeks. They said it takes 10 days from getting it to set everything up and then another 10 days to process everything.0 -

It's more like anything up to 8 weeks after a Tribunal win.

Update -
Ive just had a phone call off dwp then asking all the questions eg have i been in hospital, prison, can i accept a lump sum payment etc.
He confirmed to me the backdated payment would be in my bank latest by next week and ill recieve my letter just a little after.0 -
@Alex_Scope thanks! The guy who rang me reassured me the money would be in my bank within 3-5 working days at a max and the letter would be 4-5 working days1

Update for everyone -
I rang them on monday just to confirm everything was okay after id had the award text and they told me the money will be in my account on the 20th (they said the reason it is taking till then is because its a large backdate)
But the reassured me it will be in my account first thing on the 20th & that ill recieve my monthly payments starting from the 10th November.

Just so that you're aware PIP is paid every 4 weeks, not monthly.

Payment update -
Hi guys so ive finally been paid my back date 😀
Just so people know as it is a very nerve-racking time all this.
My claim has been gojng on for a year and 9 months now and it finally got accepted by the tribunal on the 30/10/2022.
I then got a letter from the tribunal the following week saying what id won.
On the 13/10/2022, i received a phone call from dwp confirming i had been awarded pip and that the backdate would take 3-5 working days.
It is now the 19/10/2022 & i have recieved my backdate in full
Hope this helps people x1 -
