Controls in reverse?

Hi, i am new here, my name is Jay (or zippy lol). I have an issue that maybe someone might have an idea about. Or at the very least find if this has happened to others.
My controls have gone in reverse. Left and right work as normal but when I push forward on my joystick – it goes in reverse. When i push back – it goes forward. But not only that, the reverse speed is now the forward speed, so the chair won’t speed up when going forward (just goes at the set reverse speed).
Any ideas? I have contacted engineer but the call out fee is soo high and that’s without parts. So if i can replace or fix it myself – that be better value.
Thanks for your help!
Jay

Welcome to the community @zippy
Thanks for joining us, and for posting about this! It sounds really odd, and very annoying...
Would you be able to tell us a bit more about what kind of chair you have? This may help other members advise you on what steps you might be able to take to get this fixed.0 -

I didn't want to post any links, so the details above should work via goo9gle.
Thanks! and hope someone can help.

I hope someone with more knowledge and experience can help you with this soon too @zippyJay.
Unfortunately, it is not an area of my expertise and I wouldn't want to say the wrong thing. You deserve better than that.
In the meantime, I just wanted to respond, similarly to @Ada, to say I hear you. You don't have to face this, or anything, else alone if you don't want to0 -

I have searched endlessly online for this issue and i have found no solution. There is something close to it - but thats on a mobility scooter with a bar for forward and reverse etc. Where as the chair uses a joystick so may not be compatible.
The chair worked fine before, as in terms of the motor being connected wrong, i don't know how to change that as it's worked all this time without any issue. If your bf has any experience in how i can change this that be great, though i dont understand why the chair was working fine before and then this happens randomly.
Thanks again!0 -
