Remaining politically neutral during General Election 2024

Under guidance from the Electoral Commission and Charity Commission, it's important that Scope remains politically neutral during General Elections.

Waiting for a decision

Hi. I had my pip telephone assessment about a fortnight ago. Waiting for my decision. I know the assessor does not make the final decision....that is the job of the decision maker. However, I'm wondering if the assessor goes so far as to make a recommendation perhaps ? This is all very new to me. I feel the telephone discussion went as well as could be expected, and the lady sounded like she completely understood about my disability and how it effects me. Just wondering what her input is, if not a recommendation for or against, in terms of our conversation. Thank you 😊

The assessor will have written a report, which would have been their opinion based on everything you said in the form, any extra evidence you sent and what you said during the assessment. The report will then be returned to DWP.
Before making a decision the decision maker will look at everything you sent as well as the report that was returned and then make a decision.
They mostly go with the report but it has been known for them to go against it.
Once the report is returned a decision can take 2-12 weeks.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
