Telephone assessment

@poppy123456
I'm aware of this. Yes, I completely agree, not all disabilities and conditions are visible. No, I don't personally know these people, but the information has come from the sister, with whom my family have been good friends with for about 20 - 25 years and she has said that there is absolutely nothing wrong with her sister, because the girl herself has outrightly said that she doesn't even need it. So apologies if that came across incorrectly - if they do have a disability then they are entitled to it, rightly so. However, I do trust this person and she has one of the biggest hearts when it comes to family, so I'm confident she wouldn't go around making it up. Regardless though, the matter of the fact is that there are people out there who aren't entitled to it.
Just to further add, I absolutely would never ever judge somebody based on what I can and cannot see.
I'm just stating my personal frustrations. I'm completely riled about my situation with work, which is of course having a knock on effect.0 -
Very few people claim PIP fraudulently.

Oh no @Candyheart! How frustrating is that? Though, you did make me chuckle with it being about a roller coaster ride followed by lots of laughter.
Hopefully, you will receive it soon. In the meantime, is there anything which might make this waiting more manageable for you?

Update letter received to say they had all information needed to make a decision

Candyheart said:Just a update text received 7 days after telephone assessment to say the report has been sent waiting on decision
and usually it is the same as DWPs formal award decision on the number of points awarded etc (but not always)
just thought that may help ease anxiety and prepare you for the outcome perhaps
good luck 🤞🏽0 -
You are welcome @Candyheart. It is the very least you deserve.

That would be the work capability assessment. You must have received an appointment date and time prior to the date?

Yes I did on Monday so soon after letter why do you have a assessment0

I would of thought sick notes would of been sufficient0

Candyheart said:I would of thought sick notes would of been sufficientFit notes are not classed as evidence that you have limited capability for work. Now the assessment is complete the assessment report will be written and returned to DWP (like PIP) from there a decision maker will made the decision.If it's ESA you're claiming then the decision will be either Support Group, Work related Activity Group (WRAG) or fit for work. If fit for work your payments will stop. If placed into the WRAG your payments will continue for a maximum of 1 year from when your ESA started, after this they will stop.If placed into the Support Group your money will increase to £117.60 from week 14 of your claim.0
