I have had to register again, due to forgetting my password.
Anyway, I'm 50 married. Four kids age 22,20,15 and our daughter age 6. Three boys have disabilities. I myself have end stage respiratory disease, including Bronchiectasis and Emphysema.

Hello @JamesWr1972
Oh no, how frustrating that you have had to register again! In the future, could you contact the Scope team by emailing community@scope.org.uk?
I am just thinking that they may be able to reset your password rather than you having to register again.
Thanks for spending some time introducing yourself though. How are you finding things at the moment?
Take care for now and we will look forward to hopefully hearing from you again soon

Thanks for the reply. The family are finding it really difficult at the moment, we're wanting to make this house, our home but it's impossible. We've been here since January, and we haven't even been able to decorate. It's extremely depressing, sitting here with army colours on the walls, and plaster coming off in chunks, both on the walls and ceilings. It's also bitterly cold. Yes we have heating, but it's pointless putting it on for long. It just goes straight out the windows, front door and loft. Plus, we have the same problem as most people, in that it's costing a fortune.
The kids all have coughs and colds, I myself have yet another moraxella and streptococcus chest infection, which will mean being in hospital sooner or later.
Just more than we can cope with.

@JamesWr1972 Hello there and thanks for taking the time to re-register. If you want us to re-set the password on your old account, just let us know.
I'm sorry to hear things aren't going so great right now. It's no fun at all being ill, or having your children poorly and trying to manage the best you can. Have you informed your GP or medical team about your chest infection?
In relation to your heating, Scope have a lovely, free Disability Energy Support team who you can talk to in more detail about your circumstances, and they can advise about:Whilst, I don't know about your housing situation, but if you are renting from a social housing landlord then they are responsible for repairs set out in your tenancy agreement. See this Citizens Advice webpage for more details.- managing energy and water debt
- changing your meter
- energy and water efficiency
- accessing benefits, grants, and trusts
- free fuel vouchers (conditions apply)
- contacting or complaining to your supplier
- understanding your gas and electricity bills
- understanding how to use your heating systems
- support registering with the Priority Services Register
How are your children? It sounds like they keep you busy, I just have the one toddler and I never stop so credit to you
If we can help you in any way, we really would love to so please keep talking and we can be here for you. Take care and all the best.0
