Hi I'm up at the crack of dawn again, since 3.30🙄 can't sleep... Anyone have a rare blood group, I'm rhsusA negative, only 6 percent of World have it apparently,, there are lots of weird and wonderful reasons for this including aliens 😂. Anyone know much about it?

Have you managed to get some sleep since posting @Ollyoyster?
I can't say I'm familiar with that blood group myself, do you think it's contributing to your lack of sleep, or are you just curious to know more about it?0 -
@Alex_Scope hi no sleep 😏,, but thank you for being kind,,
just curious as to whether anyone had same and if so where do they think it originated from as there are so many different theories out there 🤔🙂0 -
That's a shame @Ollyoyster is sleep something you have trouble with a lot? I know different people need different amounts of sleep to function, so I never know if there is a 'right amount'.
I'm not even sure I know what my blood type is, either!0 -
😂 Only reason I know is when I was pregnant I had to have anti d injections, as baby's blood different and my body would of tried to get rid of foetus,, 😕 so thank god for the injections 🙏😬,, I need at least 7 hours to be at peak performance,, but I am up at 3 or 4 most days now, its my mind, playing silly tricks 😳,, even if I try and stay up late to balance it so I get up later that doesn't work for some reason,, I think my brain is too active,, I am seriously considering going back doctors and upping my meds 🙄she said I can whenever I want but I'm trying not too but sometimes you have to admit defeat, o well how are you are you ready for Xmas if you celebrate it 🙂0

I wouldn't say it's admitting defeat @Ollyoyster it's knowing yourself, and giving yourself support and care
I'm getting there, so much to prepare still, but enjoying the build up to Christmas, thanks for asking!1 -
I’m AB Negative which the nurse told me was quite rare although she may of just been making small talk lol0

Hi @OllyoysterI’m also Rhesus Negative and also found out when I was pregnant.
I have 4 sisters and 1 brother all the girls have it.
My mum also has it.
And when she was in her 20s used to donate blood.
She showed me a few letters thanking her for donating such rare blood. But this was over 50 years ago.I hope you can get your sleeping sorted out, not much fun struggling to sleep.
Take care0 -
@Luchia you are rare!!!0

@Lou67 it's nice you all have same I'm the only one in my family 🤣 it must have missed a generation or something x1

Hi Ollyoyster, I too have A- blood. I know my mother has it too but no other members of my family. I have been told when I was born that I was a blue baby due to the rare blood type, but have hd no health problems in relation to having rare blood.0

@martymart the more I read the more there is to learn, its quite interesting 🙂,, I don't know much about blue baby, other than I did think it was something to do with the oxygen?? Mother nature is weird and wonderful 😁0
-
@Ollyoyster . I was told it was due to different parental blood groups as my father has different (unfortunately I don’t know his blood type)0

Hi @Ollyoyster
I spoke to my mum about our bloods it’s only me and 2 sisters that have it.One sister and brother hasn’t, I always thought it was all the girls.
