Second Capita assessment after complaint!

Hi - just looking for some advice here. I had my PIP application refused back in September after having a video assessment - I requested the report which was wholly inaccurate & 100 % complete lies.  I contacted my MP to assist with a complaint to Capita. After contacting the DWP I subsequently asked for an MR.

Last week my MP received a response from Capita apologising stating my report falls below the standards set by Capita and a full response to my complaint will be received shortly. Capita have since requested my case back from DWP to re assess me again. Has anyone else experienced this?

In the meantime I had applied to the DWP for an MR. There's a crossover in time as Friday last I was contacted by Capita to advise they wish to do a new assessment this time by telephone - which happened yesterday lasting 90 odd minutes. However yesterday I also received an MR decision notice in the post with PIP being refused again. Obviously there is a crossover in information and the refusal was based on the first assessment. Honestly I am struggling so bad with anxiety due to this and just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this kind of thing and what the outcome was for them. Hope I am making sense here just really struggling to understand how people can be treated so badly when they genuinely need help.

Hello there @sar4ls and thanks for reaching out, I'm sorry to hear what's been happening. It's beyond frustrating when there's a communication issue like this, and it feels like you're the only one left to chase things up.

The only thing I can suggest at the moment is that you contact the DWP, and explain what's been happening, and ask them to clarify what your next steps should be for challenging the original decision and getting the award you feel you deserve.

It might be worth searching advice local, and finding some support from a professional adviser, to help fight your corner as it were.

It is positive to hear that your MP was able to help bring about an apology and offer of reassessment from Capita.

Let us know how you get on if you can, and I hope it can be resolved for you soon. Please ask if you feel we can help with anything further :)
