Applying for PIP through post to ask for a online form

Hi there, i hope everyone is doing well.

My health conditions make it very difficult for me to understand and think, remember and speak, and i also suffer from severe anxiety, and because of this i can't manage applying for PIP on the phone. So i plan to apply for PIP through the post.

Because of the problems i've already mentioned, as well as my constant battle with depression, i have used Citizens Advice website as guidance for filling in the form before i have applied to avoid the added stress of a deadline. This has been emotionally agonising and has taken me 3 weeks so far. I am confident that i haven't said everything i need to say but it is causing my mental health to deteroriate too much now and i am coming up to the point where i just need to send what i have. I struggle to write full stop but i can't possibly write on paper everything i have typed, but because the online form is new i am worried about how the process will go and if its even possible to ask for a online application in the paper form PIP1. I don't know what i will do if i can't and was wondering if anybody has some information about it? Thank you

I don't think you have an option to apply online if you write to start the application. When you do this they first send you the PIP1 form to fill in and return. Once this is returned they then send you the PIP2 to fill in and return.
When you do receive the PIP2 you can type your answers and print it out if you have a printer of course. There's never enough of space on the form to write everything anyway. Please also bear in mind that although it's always better to give as much information as possible, they don't need to know your life story. Keep it simple and straight to the point.
If you haven't done this already then include a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.
Also if you have someone that can ring for you to start your claim then you can do this. It will be so much quicker than writing to start your claim.

Hey Poppy. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my discussion.
How sure are you that that is the case? I think i could probably do with the time it takes for them to process the mail forms as a form of respite. I can't see how it would work though (with me printing it all out) did you do this? If you did could you run me through how you went about it?
Thank you for your tips, Citizens Advice give the same advice and so i am sure i have followed it. The problem i am running into now is that most of my time is spent reading to understand what i have already said, and that takes such a while now that i get mentally exhausted before i can even start adding things, yet if i take a break i will forget what i read and need to constantly go through this loop. I've essentially capped.

I'm sure i read that you maybe offered to apply online if you ring to start the claim yourself. I haven't seen anywhere that says you will be offered the online claim when you write to start your claim.
Yes, i always type out my answers onto my computer and print them off once i'm done. Make sure you include your name and NI number on everything.
I do usually write a small amount of info on the form and then i write " please see additional information" make sure the extra information is clearly marked for which question it's related to.
