Hi
I received my pip review form on 13/12/2022, it said they want it back before 26/12/2022, so I phoned them up, and to be fair they did extend it to 26/01/2023, now my question is this, I am getting pip for anxiety and depression, I have been like this since I was at school, I am 59 years old, when I first put in for pip around 3.5 years ago, I was rejected with zero points on everything, so I appealed, once again I was rejected with zero points, plus the manager supporting the original assessment, so I took it to a tribunal, and not long afterwards, I received a phone call saying if I drop my tribunal case they would pay me standard rate on both, I received a letter a few weeks later, they said they looked at my case again, and decided to award me standard rate on both, Daily living 9 points, mobility 10 points, that's a huge change from all zeros, The assessor was either incompetent at their job, or a complete liar, my point of the post is since I received pip, I have also developed other illness's, Diverticulitis, IBS, CKD stage 3, Diastases Recti, and Lichen Sclerosus, all of these conditions have made my anxiety and depression worse for obvious reasons, how would I got about filling in the review form as the questions are not the same as the original pip form, so don't know what I am comparing my original answers to.

PS I also have high blood pressure.

Remember that PIP isn't awarded for the illnesses or conditions you have but the care and/or mobility problems/issues you have.

You should treat a renewal exactly the same as a new application giving as much detail as possible and "real" life examples of how you are affected.
I would say you need to get it in the post by around 10th January keeping in mind ongoing postal strikes.

Pointless sending anything to the DWP recorded delivery just get a "proof of posting" from the post office.
Also remember to send copies of any relevant supporting evidence and always print your name and N.I number on any separate sheets.
    Good luck
    Hi woodbine
I was going to send it recorded delivery as I have printed of over 100 pages of my medical records from patient access as on page 6 of the review it says send them a summary of my patient record, is that what it means? when I phoned up the DWP to tell them they have only given me a few weeks to return the form, I asked the chap on the phone about it, and he said he knows nothing about that as he has never heard of anyone being asked that question.

Hi and welcome to the community

I would say 100 pages of medical records is way too much and won't get read

Medical evidence is inkf relevant if it describes how you are affected against the pip descriptors

You doctors don't see you 0erform daily tasks so are not able to comment on how y9u war , wash , cook , dress etc

I would give through ig and take out anything not relevant

Tye best evidence is your own giving 2 examples for each activity of what happened last time you tried the activity how you did it any help or aids uf you can't do it why not what are the consequences and can you do it safely reliably and repeatedly

As above recorded delivery is a waste of money

I agree that 100 pages is far too much evidence. Less is often more. Whether it would be read is another story. If the medical evidence doesn’t state exactly how your conditions affect you then ask yourself is it worth sending it.
Agree also that recorded delivery is a waste of money. Proof of posting is free from any post office and is all you need.

In addition to all the preceding advice keep a copy of the completed form for your own record so that you can refer to.

In terms of the actual forms did you get any representation or help with the tribunal from any organisations like welfare rights or CAB?
    Who you could contact again?

otherwise the citizens advice website I find useful for help for filling in the form and how to answer the questions especially if its changed,

also recommend you look at the descriptors and be very thorough with real life examples and add supporting statements, some pip diaries and relevant medical evidence too eg prescriptions list, OT or consultant reports, mental health assessment /reports and any bloods or scans results etc

Good luck hope you get it first time round 🙂
