The Green Paper Discussion (the document link is here too!)

For what it's worth, I was reading CAB's website about their views on the Green Paper and their advisers seem to be vehemently against it. A lot of organisations, including here, in support of disabled people should hopefully be able to get our MPs to listen. I'm trying to write a letter to my local MP about it.

Basically the Tories did the same,
that amount stays frozen so no new uplifts, in real terms its a cut because as the cost of living increases this money doesn't. The Tories loved freezing the Benefits it saved them billions and its part of the reason the rise in foodbanks happened, they know the situation people who rely on Benefits rarely can save or have savings so that money goes straight back into the economy. VAT is a tax is brings in around 360 million a year, even Children buying a console game pay TAX, this narrative people on Benefits "pay nothing" is just total BS.
If one more "presenter" says Mobility cars are "free" yes people get free fuel for the 3 years
Brexit has seen this country become a deeply bitter place.

I think if the UN take them to court and win if will look very bad for Starmer as human rights lawyer. He may not want to be PM for longer than one term and instead aim higher. Going against the UN and ECHR isn’t a good look especially from a lawyer who believes in them . He has no interest in lowering immigration and so regardless of his treatment to the sick disabled elderly he won’t win again IMO.

It's far from being reasonable. Your reasonability is only focusing on the engagement with work coaches. The tough thing is how to pass the assessment to get the health element.

I receive enhanced on both aspects; but should have scored at least a 6-8 on the same Q you say you would score an 8- yet I received 0 lmao…😂
All this…despite my providing reams of unprecedented corroborating evidence from my special Nurse: Clinical Psychologist and the entire team, where I was diagnosed!
I dont mention this not to concern you, but i just checked my award papers today for the first time in 3 yrs and was re-shocked at reading that part again lol…but like so many here, i didnt kick up a fuss as i was awarded enhanced overall.
For my next renewal I will be raising these concerns, as i did mention in my original claim for them to contact all respective parties, as they can confirm my exact symptoms..
It seems that PIP totally ignored this part🤔
You should be fine, but dont take it for granted like i did; that they will see the obvious and agree👍

you must record any future assessments. Do not rely on them recording as they say at the last minute they can’t ( happened to me) . Mine also ignored the 4? Point questions and asked me about the 2, point questions. Again that’s happened to me.

hi
New in here, gone through the green paper and obviously it’s atrocious.
One thing I’d say that hasn’t got much or no attention is paragraph 53 and 54 regarding the new Insurance Employment.
It is very badly written, and I believe it’s on purpose.
Anyone with ESA contribution based, if that proposal goes ahead, will lose their entitlement eventually. As well as any NI contributions for their future pension.
this is clearly discrimination done in a very devious subtle way.So if you are on ESA contributions based I would reply to their green paper pointing that out.

Charlie Anderson gives a run down of the green paper regarding PIP ( only pip) . She’s also going to be doing future videos on this . Love her or hate her she seems quite knowledgeable so could be of help

@Danny123 Appoy for PIP. Write up your answers and gather all medical evidence in advance. Your Mum could write a letter of support. You probably would score 8 for social interaction but maybe not more that 2 for cooking unless you're not safe or really cannot venture as far as the kitchen. I imagine you could score highly in the first mobility question to do with planning and following journeys. Good luck.

It’s so hard not to worry. I’m 60 with fibromyalgia (diagnosed many years ago), arthritis in lower back and suffer with anxiety and depression. I do get pip but have never received 4 points for any 1 descriptor. The thought of losing pip and then lcwra is making me ill. I honestly do not know how I will manage. It feels like we are being punished for having disabilities.

I'd rather wake up next to Jacob Rees-Mogg, and that's really saying something (not really of course, he's a tory).

No matter how much I've been trying since yesterday, for me, it's even impossible not to worry and take this evil off my brain.
