So worried about my PIP award.

Hi, just wondering what it will mean to me, I am 68 and I am entitled to the full PIP because of my cancer. I got a 10 year award about 4 yrs ago. Will it be taken away from me do you think? Will I have to be assessed again? When I was awarded PIP at the start I did not have a telephone assessment, I was awarded it going by my medical records.
Any idea and thanks.

If you are on higher awards for both parts and it was initially done on submitted records, and there is no chance of improvement, then it should be safe to believe and#y reviews will also be paper-based, and your award should stay the same. However, with the proposed changes, if they happen, you'd need to score at least 4 points for one question in the daily living part. Under the current system, you should receive a simple to complete AR2 form after 10 years.

Thank you, yes, I was awarded the higher awards for both parts and I'd think there will be no improvements in my health. I suppose no one really knows what they will do but hopefully I'll be OK.
The 4 points question, will they oniy take this into consideration if I get to the new AR2 form or will it be looked into in the current form that was sent in about 4 yes ago?
Thank you.

I'm just after having a quick look at my PIP award notice and I see I have scored 4 points in 2 or 3 of the daily living activities.
Hopefully its enough.
Thank you

We've created this discussion for everyone to talk about it here and ask their questions - The Green Paper Discussion
We'd prefer to keep the conversations regarding this all in one place, so as to protect the mental health of all on the community, so we will be closing this discussion. I hope you understand.
