    What strategies have you or your son tried so far?

    Ear Defenders can be really helpful for reducing the amount of noise that he may hear. You can also get noise cancelling earplugs that are more discreet but just as effective!

    Yes, noise cancelling headphones are the answer here - they cut all noise out!

    Sorry for the late reply. I have bought her noise-cancelling headphones and eye plugs, but it didn't work. She is seeing a therapist next week. Hope it helps as I think it was triggered by stress and anxiety. Thank you all

    Some medications too cause noise sensitivity. I got it a few times in the past due to medication, and each time I was suicidal, as life daily life became unbearable.
