Dwp bank review call.

hello all.
due to my learning disability, this makes me anxious/overwhelmed a lot very easily. It’s funny how they have recently accepted me for LCWRA, and are now doing bank checks on me?
they know I have PIP as well.
The thing is, my total outgoings is around £6,000 and my total deposits are around £6,000 over the course of 4 months.
I get paid 550 a month, 303.34 from universal credit which I pay half for rent and other stuff.
I pay my sky mobile bill etc.
other money is spent on travel, sometimes I order food, because I struggle cooking meals on my own.
I sometimes use Uber for travel due to anxiety.
I may buy online subscriptions such as Netflix Disney plus etc.
I buy stuff from Amazon as I rarely go outside a lot, so I want to keep myself occupied when I’m indoors.
I’m genuinely just scared that they’ll just judge me what I spend my money on.as I know they’re cracking down on it.
please could someone explain me the process, and there process.
I don’t even have 6k in my savings account. I may receive an odd £20 from dad or mum here and there, I may also lend money to my brother. Etc I’m
Just worried to be honest.

Please read through this thread (click on the purple text View Post) for an idea of how these checks work.

Please rest assured they are not interested in what you spend your money on.
Your call will probably be quite short and very straightforward. They definitely will not be judging you.
If you have a very regular pattern of spend, chances are they won't ask about any of your transactions at all.
The kinds of transactions they do ask about - one off large transactions (large for you, that is)
Money disappearing out of your account just before AP (assessment period) day. This is because someone might deliberately getting rid of money to keep their balance low on AP day.
Regular transfers of money to other people's personal accounts. This is perfectly fine if you are paying your share of the rent, or paying back a debt but it is not ok if you are sending money to others to stash away for you.
So - they really are on the look out for hidden savings
And - people getting rid of money just so they can keep claiming.
Once they know neither of these applies to you, they will be happy to conclude the review.
They don't care what you spend your money on.

thanks for this.
as for my previous comment.I mentioned my total outgoings is £6k over the course of 4 months. And the same with my total deposits. That’s moving money back and forth from my main Monzo pot to saving Monzo pot. And spending it on stuff.
The only really large amount of money I could say is spent, is £150 plus £150 for rent.
I’m worried about the total outgoings and total deposits as that has confused/worried me. As I only earn £550 £303.34

for example.
I just would like some better understanding so it would ease me a little bit. As some people have said, they have been asked what there payment has been used for. I just don’t want to be embarrassed. And say, oh I like to sometimes buy a game, or for example on YouTube, you can do a monthly subscription to someone’s channel as for support. I like to do that sometimes. Since an invasion of privacy is happening I don’t really care what I tell people now lol. I just wanted some understanding.0 -
You don't need to worry. As i said, the only reason they ask about certain transactions is to be sure you aren't stashing money in an account they don't know about (for example if you were sending money to your Mum to save up and return to you in future)
OR if your account has a very regular pattern of low spend and then there's a sudden flurry of withdrawls which seem to have been made just as your balance was creeping up.
All the things you mention are totally fine. It is even ok to have a one off big spend as long as it hasn't been done purely to get the balance down - buying a new computer, going on holiday, whatever - that is all totally fine.
Just tell the truth. It will be fine.

thank you! I just woke up and the guy who is doing my review actually called me, to make sure I am not worried and explained what will happen. And he told me not panic.
