I’ve sent my esa50 off. I’ve read it can be months to wait for an assessment do I need to call and ask for one or wait for it to come in the post? I thought it was within 13 weeks of you esa claim? New to this sorry! My sick note runs out 18/4/25 do I ask for one now to be started tomorrow because of bank hol or do I wait and ask for it to be back dated on Tuesday? Thanks all x

    An assessment appointment will arrive on the post.

    13 weeks is a target so it may not happen within that time frame.

    Ideally you need no breaks in Fit Notes so if it was me I'd ask tomorrow.
