@waylander9602, Thanks for sharing. When will actually the Labour government stop blaming everything on the previous government and other parties? Itβs almost become a Labour mantra for Starmer, Kendall, Reeves & others whenever reporters or journalists ask any tough questions.

That's standard practice for every government - blame the previous government. It gives them free rein to make more uncomfortable changes with the claimed excuse that they are an improvement over the previous incumbentsβ¦

Haaa @Wibbles ,Trueβ¦. But these lot respond to every question with the same answerβ¦ and theyβve trained their disciples (MPs) to follow suit. One thingβs for sure-I can see how much they hate being questioned (honestly, itβs hilarious watching their faces twist up!). And yep, true to form, theyβll still be blaming the last lot even if theyβre in power for a decadeβ¦ at this rate, theyβll be blaming the Romans next! π€π€

I don't where some people on here are saying Starmer is going to buckle under. He won't buckle and he will win if you let him, get organised with protests and meeting. Show up in wheelchairs near parliament, get as much media involved as you can, make placards and embarrass the government. Don't keep waiting for others to do it. Don't keep emailing mp's, they'll do nothing till you do something.

He will if the supreme court decide the cuts are unlawful. That would be a day to get flags out and party π€©

This is all about cutting the welfare budget by forcing ill and disabled people into getting work - not even providing giving them with a job but forcing them to search for it by cutting their benefits.
Evil Keir Starmer is clear on this, saying that they want to change sick and disabled people's behaviour and disincentivise claiming benefits.

Thanks @sarah_lea12 what you've said has made my day! π π€ If the Supreme Court make that decision, what a celebration that will be!! ππ₯³πβ¨

If you still are struggling to email your MP for any reason or worried about not being able to word it in exactly the right way for greatest effect, as I've been doing, here's what I consider a truly excellent template on the Benefits and Work forum. I hope that it might help some of you. π€π

The vile & toxic DWP are sending out a horrific survey asking disabled people how they spend their PIP money
DWP have no legal right to ask & you have no legal obligation to fill it in
if you send a letter of opposition tell them what you think of their vile cuts

This is to be signed by healthcare professionals only I think, I think would be discredited if it started been signed by claimants.

Thereβs a section on the letter for disabled people and carers to sign. I think if you just write next to your name it adds you to the right section.
